Just some odds and ends: if you are still interested in Vietnam.

Where you make your phone calls........at the post office. Just a strange idea for me. No phone booths on the street. They speak English just enough to figure out how to make a phone call.

Unlike the city center of Hanoi most shops in the rest of Vietnam look like this. So if you need something such as film or batteries you might have to spend a good hour asking in broken English 'batteries'?(and point to camera) if they have what you are looking they dig it out of some cuppard in the back of their Wal-Mart (big) sized store. :)

Don't know where these girls are going but really like the ideas of wearing pajamas out in public........wait....... I already do that!!

An ethnic girl dressed traditionally.  I like how the style matches with the baseball cap (Rach, it was her idea). Notice the mask she is wearing: a necessity for the dust and pollution when driving, walking or riding.

Had read about this in books and still cannot believe I was there. Certain Buddhist Vietnamese believe that when you take their photo their spirit is captured in the photo (lesson: ask if it's ok before you photograph someone). So they put the photo in the temple so that person's spirit is there.

A local floating market. People bring their produce on boat and trade.......a bit crazy at times

More food!!! Meat balls (a mixture of tofu and either chicken, beef, lamb, or any other meat) in different sauces. Surprisingly, very filling. Those green things on the bottom right are banana leaves with sticky rice with a cocoanut juice and some type of meat or fish in the middle.
